This downtown ELS San Francisco Financial District location is set up for the convenience of our test takers with IELTS Test delivery and support. Please note that this is not the same location as our English classes at ELS San Francisco North Bay, which is in San Rafael.
ELS San Francisco Test Center is conveniently located in the Financial District within walking distance of Montgomery and Embarcadero Bart stations as well as the Salesforce Transbay Transit Center. There is a wealth of happy-hour hot spots and affordable hotels nearby with parking garages such as the Golden Gateway Garage. Booking your official IELTS Test at ELS San Francisco gives you the opportunity to visit The Ferry Building, enjoy a good meal, and soak in the view of the beautiful Bay Bridge.
ELS San Francisco offers IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. You can also choose whether to take your IELTS Test on Paper or on Computer. We provide individual headphones for both versions of the test.
The cost of IELTS on Paper is $280 + $15 non-refundable Admin Fee for a total of $295.
The cost of IELTS on Computer is $285 + $15 non-refundable Admin Fee for a total of $300.
Please be advised that test takers must travel to the test center to take the test IN-PERSON for both paper-based and computer-delivered tests.
Results for IELTS on computer are available between 1 and 5 days after the test and results for IELTS on Paper are available 13 days after the test.

The speaking test is taken separately and you may choose your speaking test time when you register. Please note that ELS reserves the right to modify the speaking schedule in advance or on the test day due to examiner availability and absence of other test takers. You will be notified if there is a change.
