ELS River Forest IELTS Center in Chicago

ELS Chicago IELTS Test Center is located in spacious Lewis Hall on the beautiful Dominican University campus in River Forest, close to the former homes of Earnest Hemmingway and Frank Lloyd Wright.

Both IELTS Academic and IELTS General are offered on Computer with fast IELTS results in 1-5 days. As of Jan 1, 2025, the cost of the test is $285 + $15 non-refundable Admin Fee for a total of $300.

If arriving on public transit, the center is accessible via the #318 bus, or a 25-minute walk from the Oak Park train station.

If driving, please park in the covered parking garage located behind Lewis Hall and then follow the directions the following steps to reach the Test Center:

  1. After parking, take the stairs or elevator down to the ground level
  2. At the bottom of the stairs, you will see an exit immediately to your left
  3. Exit the parking structure and follow the walkway straight ahead to the entrance door. The door will be locked; an ELS IELTS staff member will be stationed nearby to let you in and guide you to the testing area

   Test Takers are advised to arrive at the center no later than 30 minutes prior to their test

  Listening, Reading and Writing are taken on the computer. Speaking is scheduled separately as an in-person interview.

Speaking tests are scheduled separately either on the same day or on the day before or after your main test.
